# Wrap & Unwrap

> Maximize the DeFi utility of your fragAsset via wrapping

    ## How to wrap

    <Info>
      fragSOL and fragJTO earn F Points simply by being held. However, since the wrapped versions are DeFi-specific, **they do not earn F Points just by holding**—they must be **used in DeFi to earn F Points**

      <Step title="Connect Wallet to Fragmetric">
        If you don’t have a wallet yet, we recommend setting one up with Backpack or Phantom. You can check the currently supported wallet integrations in the image below. If you’re using a hardware wallet like Ledger, make sure to enable the “I’m using a Hardware Wallet” toggle.

        Choose fragSOL or fragJTO from the dropdown menu. In this guide, we will use fragSOL as an example.

        Enter the amount you wish to wrap to wfragSOL.

        If you convert your tokens, you must use them in DeFi to earn rewards. Otherwise, we recommend holding fragSOL.

        Confirm the transaction in your wallet. Once complete, ***wfragSOL*** will appear in your wallet.

        Check your wallet and you should see Wrapped Fragmetric Restaked SOL in the amount you chose to wrap.

      **If you unwrap, all boosts except the referral boost will not be reapplied.**&#x20;

      To activate the Backpack boost:&#x20;

      * Unstake first and then restake again using your Backpack wallet&#x20;

      * Swap wfragSOL to SOL and then restake again using your Backpack wallet
